About
The Opera Institute at Opernfest Prague is an exclusive training program for high school singers.
The program is designed to be an all-in-one resource for voice students and their families.
The Opera Institute program was designed for pre-college classical singers, in a training environment that is positive and collaborative. Features include: technique training, dramatic coaching, audition techniques, professional aria and art song recordings (for college applications), among other features.
Additional roundtables for parents and guardians will take place, hosted by industry leaders. Discussions will answer questions about conservatory, and how to best support your young artist through the college / conservatory audition process.

Adapted from Opernfest Prague’s award-winning program for professional singers, the Opera Institute delivers a premier training experience tailored specifically for the high school singer.
Program Features Include:
Recordings with Orchestra and Piano, for conservatory & university applications and
pre-screening.Individual Training Daily with master conductors, technicians, directors.
Guidance on University Sample Lessons - Learn the best practices for sample lessons, and how to find the right studio (university voice teacher) fit.
Media Resource Support with resumes, websites, and other social media materials.
Audition Techniques training.
Expert Panels for students and families on navigating the college/conservatory audition process.
Eligibility
The Opera Institute at OFP is designed for high school singers interested in learning more about the training and career path options in opera and vocal performance.
Participants must be at least 14 years old at the time of the program.
Singers of all levels interested in learning more training and career pathways in opera / vocal performance are welcome to apply.
Audition repertoire should include two contrasting video selections, demonstrating the students’ level of musical and technical proficiency.

Tuition & Fees
Opernfest Tuition: €4,995
Orchestra Parts & Rights: €500
The orchestra parts fee covers the parts, performance rights and recording permissions.
